The Research Coordination Office oversees the strategic planning, coordination, and support services of university-wide research activities. It facilitates project management and supports access to national and international funding sources. As the first unit established in this field within the university, the METU Science Communication Office plays a pioneering role in bridging scientific knowledge and society. Guided by its vision of “bringing science beyond academic circles,” the Office transforms scientific concepts into accessible knowledge through its projects. Moreover, by developing sustainable collaborations with national and international institutions, the Office has created a European-standard science communication model and built the institutional capacity to bring together numerous researchers around diverse projects. It organizes the processes of project application, evaluation, and fund management for researchers. It provides the necessary support to enhance the university’s research performance and encourages innovative studies. The Global Engagement Office aims to increase METU’s international visibility. It also seeks to strengthen the university’s global academic impact by effectively communicating its academic, research, innovation capacity, and societal contributions to stakeholders worldwide. The Institutional Development and Planning Office manages the university’s strategic planning, performance measurement, and quality management processes. It supports sustainable development through the analysis of institutional data and the implementation of goal-oriented policies.
