Multimodal Language & Cognitive Development Lab
The Multimodal Language & Cognitive Development Lab investigates the relationship between language and cognitive development through various modes of communication such as speech, gesture, and sign language. Within this scope, it focuses on areas including vocabulary development, and the development of spatial and mathematical concepts, employing multifaceted methods such as memory tests, eye-tracking, and linguistic analyses. The Research Laboratory was established with the support of the Max Planck Society Collaboration Fund. To learn more about the laboratory, please click on the link below.

Autonomous Materials Discovery Lab
The DarkLab, currently being established at METU, aims to accelerate materials discovery by integrating artificial intelligence, robotic systems, and data-driven analytical methods. Once completed, the laboratory will feature an integrated workflow encompassing robotic sample fabrication, automated characterization, and machine learning–based data analysis. Through this system, the discovery of new alloy and material combinations will be achievable within hours instead of weeks or months. The laboratory will focus particularly on the development of innovative systems for high-entropy alloys, batteries, magnetic materials, and advanced engineering applications. The infrastructure to be established aims to significantly enhance Türkiye’s capacity for materials innovation and autonomous research.
